HELLO GUYS Dulu pada saat masa Kasultanan Yogyakarta, alun-alun selatan atau alun-alun kidul ini dijadikan sebagai tempat untuk melatih ketangkasan para prajurit keraton seperti berkuda, memanah dan latihan perang lainnya. Para prajurit keraton juga sering melatih konsentrasi dengan cara berjalan melewati tengah pohon beringin yang ada di Alun-alun dengan mata tertutup.
